2014 Comm Games Update#23

Monday:

A great day to be on a shooting range. As we had finished our days shooting were able to watch Sally Johnstone win the Gold in woman’s 50meter prone. Jenna was a credible 14th. What a highlight. We missed Natalie shooting woman’s trap, she almost got the bronze, but lost a shoot off for 3rd & 4th. Ryan Taylor also did well to make the final in 50meter men’s prone and finish 6th. Ricky shot pistol and Martin 50m as well as Miles who is half way through his trap event.

Fullbore continued today with stage 2 in light winds and warm sunny conditions. Mike dropped 2pts at 300 then shot two fifties at 5 & 600 to be sitting down the table a bit from the top shots. John dropped 1pt at 300 then also shot two fifties to be only 3pts off the lead although he is in 17th place. 3 points is not much with 15 shots at 900 & 1000 yds unless it is a very kind day. So there is hope for both of them to climb the ladder some. Tomorrow, Tuesday is the last day for all shooting, which seems to have come around fast, so we hope for more good things to come.
