2024 Otago Championship results
The Otago Championship was held at Oamaru on 2nd and 3rd of March. Owing to the Palma shoot in South Africa coming up there was a smaller number of marksmen attending.
Saturday presented some challenging conditions with only one possible from the TR shooters and five from the scoped shooters, three of these shot by Les Grimsey. The forecast for Sunday was to have strong southerly winds come through which came during the night and had settled somewhat by morning. This resulted in a lot more possibles from the TR class with five in total, three of which came from Ken Chittock, plus another three from Les Grimsey.
On the social side, fifteen of us went to a local restaurant where we have been several times where we can get a room to ourselves and this makes it easy to have a good talk together as it includes the partners of those have come to the shoot also.
