Report 2 from Brisbane

Woke up this morning to heavy thunderand rain, did not imagine that by 1pm we would be searching for the sunscreen!  The afternoon was beautiful with a gentle, constant breeze, at times the flags were handing straight down the poles and many possibles were shot over both the 300 and 500 ranges.

Our young gun, Bradley was the Kiwis' top scorer at 300 with 50.06 and Hagar at 500 with 50.09.  Agg for the day top Kiwi is Ross Geange with 100.12, 40th in A Grade.  Top Kiwi in B grade is John Apperley 5th and in C Grade Charlotte Flanagan 3rd.  The overnight leader is Wingham's Thurtell with 100.19.

We just enjoyed a marvellous BBQ dinner and the opening ceremony went off with a bang, lots of bangs actually with a spectacular fireworks display.

Shooting starts at 8am tomorrow, so most of us returned to barracks straight after dessert. Lots of British team members looking rather glum.
